Where is your store located?

We are an online furniture store, thus eliminating costly warehousing, display and inventory related costs, which allow us to pass on reduced costs to you. Because of this savings, the manufacturers ask that we not Display their names on our web site. We can give you the manufacturers Name by calling us or emailing us.

Shopping online at North Carolina Furniture Discounters is convenient and is secure. We use the most secure transaction software available.

How do I pay for my order?

North Carolina Furniture Discounters accepts Master Card, Visa, American Express & Discover cards online and Certified Checks or Money Orders when mailing in payments. Payment in Full is required before shipment. If you decide to mail in your payment, please send it along with a print out of your order to:

Are your prices subject to change?

Manufacturers have the right to increase their prices without advance notice to us. Therefore, prices are subject to change without notification. As a result, prices of items in your Shopping Cart are subject to change until orders are placed. When placing orders, charges reflected in your Shopping Cart, including merchandise prices, are subject to correction in the event of calculation or printing errors. If a pricing error occurs, North Carolina Furniture Discounters will contact you before proceeding with your order.


How soon can I expect my order?

In an effort to keep our costs low we order your furniture directly from the manufacturers warehouse. Please remember that the manufacturer must ship the furniture to our warehouse, which takes approximately 3-4 weeks, before we can release the furniture for delivery. This delivery time frame is dependent on variables such as availability of stock, production delays and weather. Delivery dates are estimated in good faith, but are not guaranteed.

We estimate 5 to 12 weeks delivery time meaning delivery could be less that 5 weeks and it could be more that 12 weeks depending on availability, production schedules and weather, but usually within the range.

All North Carolina Furniture Discounters items are delivered by a fully insured NATIONWIDE IN HOMEc Delivery service, Heirloom Delivery. Heirloom Delivery Service will call you one week or less in advance to schedule your delivery appointment. Please note by using an out of town delivery service you must be accommodating for any delays associated with other previous deliveries, traffic and weather delays. Heirloom Delivery Service does their best to be as accurate and punctual.

***You must be present to receive, inspect and sign for your delivery. Please DO NOT arrange to have shipments dropped off when no one is home.***

If your order is 4 weeks beyond our estimate please e-mail us at ncfurndisccount@aol.com with your invoice number and we will check the status of your order. (Please note that delivery times are estimates only. We are subject to manufacturers own schedules of production and cannot be held responsible for their delays.)

What are your shipping charges?

Product prices do not include shipping and handling. Estimated shipping costs are provided in good faith, but may vary. A chart of these rates is available on our web site. All delivery charges are due upon arrival and must be paid before furniture is unloaded and placed in your residence.

Delivery charges must be paid by cash, certified check, or money order. No personal checks will be accepted. If funds are not available the delivery will be returned to NC and a re-delivery charge will be added to original freight charge. Of course, you are always welcome to pickup your furniture at our Delivery Warehouse in Archdale, NC by calling 336-454-1419. Please note, that Heirloom Delivery Service must have a 24-hour notice for furniture pickup and there is a $25.00 fee plus NC Sales Tax of 7% is applied to the total order if you are coming from out of state to pickup.

Is the furniture setup in my home?

North Carolina Furniture Discounters items are delivered by a fully insured Nationwide In-Home Delivery service, which will place your furniture where you want it one time. They cannot move existing furniture nor dispose of it. Normal set up includes attaching mirror supports, reversing drawer hardware, assembling beds and dining room tables. They are not equipped to dust, hang mirrors on walls, assemble baby beds or waterbeds, level furniture on carpet, or cut bed slats. They also do not assemble "knock-down", "flat-packed", or " ready-to-assemble" furniture, as this is typically a very time consuming task. North Carolina Furniture Discounters and/or Heirloom Delivery Service cannot be responsible for any damages to furniture, floors, or walls in the event a piece of furniture is too large to fit into your residence or weighing over 400 pounds. Generally, we will not bring back an item because it will not fit in your home so please take measurements and make certain that the piece(s) will fit before our driver arrives. Also note that if your home is not accessible to our truck, it will be your responsibility to provide a means of transportation from the truck to your home. Customers are responsible for furniture packaging material.

Can I ship my order in stages?

Delivery of your order will be made at one time. If you require part of your order to be shipped in stages, please let us know at the time that you order by sending an e-mail to ncfurndisccount@aol.com and we will do our best to comply. Additional charges may apply.

Can an order be shipped internationally?

At this time, North Carolina Furniture Discounters can ship to the 48 contiguous states. We can ship to a shipping company inside the United States, but you must arrange Your own shipping from there.

Do I have to pay sales tax?

We do not charge sales tax, except on items shipped within North Carolina (7%). (Unless or until Congress changes the law on Internet sales tax collection this could amount to some substantial savings.) Since your local or state laws may vary on "use tax" when you buy something "out of state," we leave it to you to handle as you see fit. Some states sometimes will stop The delivery truck from time to time and get a copy of the shipping manifest.
When this happens, your state may send you a tax bill. If you come inside of NC to pickup, North Carolina requires us to collect 7% sales Tax.

What is your cancellation/return policy?

Orders may be canceled in whole or in part at our sole discretion, taking into account the status of your order at the time you request cancellation. If cancellation is permitted, you may be required to reimburse us for shipping and other expenses. In addition, all cancelled orders will be subject to a cancellation fee of forty percent (40%) of the order, or portion of an order cancelled. Before you order, be sure that large pieces will fit through doors, elevators and hallways with sufficient room to maneuver. We will not be responsible for costs or returns arising from insufficient space or clearance for goods to be delivered. Please measure all elevators, hallways and doors to be sure that this will not cause a problem. Allow adequate room for maneuvering bulky pieces.


What if my furniture arrives damaged?

You should inspect your order when it arrives at your home to make sure that your order is complete, the accompanying paperwork is in order, and that the items are undamaged by their journey. In exceptional circumstances, a product may arrive suffering minor wear and tear from the shipping process, or even a minor defect that occurred at the factory. If furniture is damaged, you MUST describe the damage on the bill of lading before the driver leaves. The furniture will be returned for repair or replacement.

Any item(s) returned because of damage will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Heirloom Delivery Service. After resolution, the item(s) will be returned to the customer on a priority basis at no additional charge provided all delivery charges are paid in full. Item(s) found to be of manufacturer standards would be returned to you with an additional charge. Only significant problem items should be returned. Please do not refuse complete orders over one item as re-delivery charges are expensive. If you do not inspect your items upon delivery, or note on the bill of lading North Carolina Furniture Discounters will be unable to assist you in repair or replacement of damaged merchandise.

What warranties do you offer?

Many products sold at North Carolina Furniture Discounters come with a manufacturer's warranty, which may vary in length from six months up to five years depending on the manufacturer. Details of the warranty cover will also depend on other factors, such as the type of product, the problem that you are experiencing, and where the item is now located. If the product(s) you order comes with a manufacturer's warranty, we recommend that you take the time to review it closely so that you know exactly what level of coverage that is being offered. North Carolina Furniture Discounters reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter or update these policies, and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations, or updates. Further details on manufacturers warranties will generally be attached when you get your new furniture. Call or e-mail us if you have further questions; we will be glad to help. Keep in mind that the manufacturers warranties do not cover labor or transportation beyond one year; even a "lifetime" warranty covers the replacement parts only.
