Does North Carolina Furniture Discounters have catalogs?

North Carolina Furniture Discounters does not print catalogs in order to keep prices as low as possible. All of our items are online and we are constantly adding new items. If you have any questions about our product line which are not answered on this web site, simply E-mail our Customer Service Department.

How do I pay for my order?

North Carolina Furniture Discounters accepts Master Card, Visa, American Express & Discover cards online and Check or Money Orders when mailing in payments. Payment in Full is Required before shipment. If you decide to mail in your payment, please send it along with a print out of your order to:

PRICE INCREASES: Manufacturers have the right to increase their prices without advance notice to us. Therefore, prices are subject to change without notification. Quotes for shipping charges are an estimate only. Shipping charges are also subject to change without notification. Changes in the shipping charges do not void this contract.

How soon can I expect my order?

Delivery times.

In an effort to keep our costs low we order your furniture directly from the manufacturer. Please remember that the manufacturer must ship the furniture to our warehouse, before we can release the furniture for delivery to you. Delivery dates are estimated in good faith, but are not guaranteed. We estimate 5 to 12 weeks delivery time meaning delivery could be less than 5 weeks and it could be more that 12 weeks depending on availability, production schedules and weather.(Please note these are estimates only. We are subject to manufacturers own schedules of production and cannot be held responsible for their delay.)

What are your shipping charges?

Product prices do not include shipping and handling (delivery charges), these fees are collected at the time of delivery. ESTIMATED delivery charges are provided in good faith, but may vary. Shipping is by independent contract carriers who are obligated to fulfill delivery of your order. They will contact you prior to delivery, so as to establish an approximate time window for you to receive your delivery. If no one is home to receive your delivery, a repeat delivery charge will be incurred. Remote or inaccessible delivery areas may be subject to surcharge or you may be required to take delivery at a location acceptable to our contractors. All North Carolina Furniture Discounters items are delivered by a fully insured NATIONWIDE IN HOME Delivery service. A chart of our IN HOME Deliver Rates is posted for your convenience. Please check here to find out the estimated cost of delivery to your location. You must pay the delivery people separately for all orders, cash, check, or money-order only (paid on delivery). Cancellations

Cancellations; Return Policy.

(a) As soon as you place your order, we begin the procurement process from your chosen furniture manufacturer. Once we contact the manufacturer (usually within 24 hours of receiving your order), we are unable to cancel or change that order without penalty because once we have placed it at your request, NCFurnitureDiscounters.com and you, our customer, each become obligated to complete the payment of the purchase price. For that reason, we are unable to accept cancellations, in either whole or part, once the order is placed. Because we custom-ordered the piece for you and cannot return it to the manufacturer, we must charge a cancellation fee of forty percent (40%) of your order, or portion of an order canceled plus actual shipping charges, if a cancellation is permitted. This fee helps to defer the product cost and freight charges. (b) When your furniture is ready for shipment, you will be notified to schedule delivery appointment. If you refuse the delivery appointment of your furniture, this will be treated as an unauthorized cancellation of your order, customer agrees to pay a cancellation fee of 40% of your order plus actual shipping charges. This fee helps to defer the product cost and freight charges. (c) If merchandise is damaged or defective, we will arrange repair or replacement, in our sole discretion, of products, which do not conform to the manufacturer's specifications. Furniture may be repaired in your home or may be returned for repair. Customer agrees to accept delivery appointment for any backorders, repairs or replacement furniture to complete the order process. Returns may be authorized pursuant to paragraph 3(a) only. No merchandise may be directly returned to North Carolina Furniture Discounters under any circumstances.

Delivery and Damage.

(a) All orders should be inspected upon arrival by the purchaser. If, at the time of delivery you notice any damage, defect or deficiency, you MUST describe this on the Bill of Lading retained by the driver. Because Deliver cost is so expensive and to prevent future damage, Customer agrees to return damaged or defective items ONLY and keep furniture items that are ok. If items returned are found to be of manufacturers quality, customer agrees to pay a redelivery fee. Return only items that are damaged or defective. If you do not properly report the damage, defect or deficiency at the time of delivery, we will not be able to assist with later claims. If the delivery personnel can correct the problem, it will be taken care of immediately. If not, the shipper will return the item for repair or replacement, at our discretion and then redelivered to you. You will not be charged for this redelivery unless the merchandise was of normal production quality. Customer agrees to accept delivery appointment for any backorders, repairs or replacement furniture to complete the order process. Orders refused for delivery after 30 days will be subject to storage fees of a minimum of $50.00 charge per month or $10.00 per 100 lbs. (b) The delivery service will bring the furniture inside the home and place it in the room of your choice. They will go up or down a maximum of one flight of stairs. If they must go up or down more than one flight, there will be an additional charge. Please measure all elevators, hallways and doors to be sure that this will not cause a problem. Allow adequate room for maneuvering bulky pieces. We will not be responsible for costs or returns arising from insufficient space or clearance for goods to be delivered. In the event the furniture does not fit into the house or room, the delivery service will not return the merchandise without an authorization from North Carolina Furniture Discounters. Because we custom-ordered the piece for you and cannot return it to the manufacturer, we must charge a restocking fee of fifty percent (50%) of your order plus actual shipping charges. (c) Mirror supports, center supports and bed slats, unless specified, are not included with your furniture. You may request these items, for a fee, from the delivery personnel. Delivery personnel will not hang wall mirrors and will not assemble Bunk Beds, Loft Beds, "Ready To Assemble (RTA)" furniture or accessory items, i.e. drawer knobs. Please Note: Liability issues and time required prevent us from offering assembly of bunk beds, lofts beds and Ready-to-Assemble furniture. We will still inspect the product and place it in the room of your choice. Delivery personnel will normally unpack curio cabinets or grandfather clocks, but will not be required to assemble glass shelving, clock chimes or pendulums. (d) Most deliveries are schedule for Monday-Friday. If you request weekend deliveries only, then you are subject to a 20% increase in your freight charges. (e) Since safety and environmental regulations prevent the carrier from transporting the used packaging materials, delivery personnel will not be responsible for taking back cartons or crates.

Repairs

We have put our 30 years of experience in the furniture business to good use in selecting high quality, durable products that may never need warranty service. But, if you have a problem, we will contact the manufacturer to arrange for local repair, under the terms of the manufacturer's warranty. Then, we'll locate and arrange for a FurnitureMedic franchise (or local furniture shop) to perform any needed manufacturers warranty work quickly and professionally. Manufacturer Warranties

Many products sold at North Carolina Furniture Discounters come with a manufacturer's warranty, which may vary in length from six months up to five years depending on the manufacturer. Details of the warranty cover will also depend on other factors, such as the type of product, the problem that you are experiencing, and where the item is now located. If the product(s) you order comes with a manufacturer's warranty, we recommend that you take the time to review it closely so that you know exactly what level of coverage that is being offered. North Carolina Furniture Discounters reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter or update these policies, and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations, or updates. Further details on manufacturers warranties will generally be attached when you get your new furniture. Call or e-mail us if you have further questions; we will be glad to help. Keep in mind that the manufacturers warranties do not cover labor or transportation beyond one year; even a "lifetime" warranty covers the replacement parts only.

Sales Tax Savings

We do not charge sales tax, except on items shipped within North Carolina (7%). (Unless or until Congress changes the law on Internet sales tax collection this could amount to some substantial savings.) Since your local or state laws may vary on "use tax" when you buy something "out of state," we leave it to you to handle as you see fit.
